Bamanbudo Waterfall

Bamanbudo waterfall is located in Canaconataluka of South Goa. Bamanbudo waterfall is situated towards the road to AmbeGhat. The view of the Ghat is breath-taking. The water slides down from the rocks, the appearance of Bamanbudo waterfall is more like a waterslide then like a waterfall.The force of Bamanbudo waterfalls is very high, the rocks are very slippery hence one needs to be caution while in the waterfall. Water slides down the rocks forming another stream at the bottom. Due to its heavy force the waterfall blend into white foam which enhances its charm.Bamanbudo waterfall is named after a Brahmin who died there hundred years ago. Bamanbudo waterfall is situated in CanaconaTaluka which is one of the five Talukas of Goa.CanaconaTaluka was earlier a district from the Kingdom of Soonda which is traces from Vijayanagara Empire during the time when Soonda was attacked and partially taken over by Hyder Ali of Mysore. The king then surrendered to Portugal and laterCanaconaTaluka was merged into Goa in 1794.
