It is difficult to access international ATMs or pay by credit card in most parts of Palawan. You might find better luck in the capital city of Puerto Princesa but elsewhere, it is most advisable to prepare cash (Philippine Peso), which you can get in Metro Manila prior to going to Palawan.
In Coron, there is one bank (BPI) with two ATMs near the St. Augustine Church along the National Highway. It is rare to find establishments that accept credit card payments. You?ll have to ask your accommodation provider prior to arrival.
In El Nido, there are no ATMs at all. However, Together Pension has a machine that allows you to withdraw from your credit card with an 8-per cent fee.
