THE VILLAGE Mulloor is a place of rope manufacturers who produce and process coconut fibres in cottage industry. Several families belong to the caste of hindu fishermen who still fish in the traditional way and collect shells to produce lime. The environs along the coast invite to wonderful walks.Between the northern end of the busy tourist place Kovalam (about 5 km north of Mulloor) and the fishing village Adhimalathura in the south are more than 8 km of picturesque rocky coast with 12 palm fringed beaches. Landwards along valleys and streams and through coconut groves, a marvellous exotic landscape awaits to be explored.  Vizhinjam, a fishing village 3 km north of Mulloor, has a fishing harbour where every morning a fish market takes place. The village near to the harbour houses two over 1000 years old monuments: The Bagavati Temple is very beautiful situated and nearby is a monolithic rock temple with sculptures from the Cera age (700-850).

BEACHES Paradise Gardens is surrounded by seven wonderful beaches and bays separated by cliffs and within short walks through palm groves along the picturesque rocky coast. Each of the beaches shows different qualities regarding to sand, depth of water and underwater life. 

UNDERWATER WORLD

The rocky parts of the coast between the beaches are the best place to snorkel, because here a fascinating rich and colourful underwater life finds shelter. 

BOAT TRIPS

You can join local fishermen by boat to reach all beaches or other interesting places to snorkel, for fishing or just for a tour away from the coast. 

CULTURE Performances of Indian classical music and dance will be exclusively organised in our resort. Kaladi (martial arts) is also part of the programme. Exclusive performances we offer to very fair prices. The numerous local temple festivals allow getting an insight into the colourful exotic cultural life of Kerala. The most important festival of Kerala is Onam in August/September, when the whole of Kerala seems to be a celebration. We organise tours to all cultural events in and around Trivandrum.

CLIMATE The tropical climate of the coast of Kerala is very equable. The temperatures are at Paradise Gardens the whole year not less than 23°C at night and not higher than 30°C in the daytime with sunshine almost everyday. The nearness to the equator means always equable temperatures throughout the year and always equally long days and nights. Through the sea the temperatures between day and night are equable with high humidity and a cooling breeze.

The state capital of Kerala is a garden city with numerous interesting examples of the traditional architectural style of Travancore.

Sights: Palaces of the Maharajas of Travancore from three centuries, Archeological Museum, Zoo, Art Gallery with interesting collections of Roehrich and Ravi Varma.The Trivandrum Golf Club has a 9 hole course.The Padmanabhaswami Temple in the city centre is the largest temple of Trivandrum and the Atukal Temple is the most popular with one of the biggest temple festivals of southern Kerala in March/April. Padmanabhapuram:

Situated about 60 km south-east of Mulloor in a wonderful landscape is the oldest wooden palace of Asia. The inner part of the original palace city remains complete. Padmanabhapuram was the residence of the maharajas of Travancore till the transfer of the capital to Trivandrum. This palace is a unique monument, with Archeological Museum.  Tropical hills:

About 30 km landwards from the coast rise hills up to the Western Ghats (Agastya Hills and Cardamom Hills) with an altitude between 1000 m and 3000 m. Visit coffee, tea and spice gardens in the middle of rain forests and National Parks.  Backwaters:

A wide area of lagoons, rivers, lakes and channels. - Discover a world on water! 

A special tour for art lovers:  Kalugumalai : 

Vettuvankovil, a monolithic rock temple with a rich sculptural decoration, between 1100 and 1400 years old, a jewel of craftsmanship from the Pandya age.The marvellous temple is situated on a large rounded rock in a picturesque landscape near the pilgrim centre Sankarankovil about 150 km north-east of Mulloor.This tour will take a full day and can be combined with the visit of the wooden palace of Padmanabhapuram and the temple of Sucindram near Nagercoil.

Lukewarm herbal oils are dripped all over the body by 2-4 trained technicians in a special rhythmic way for about 60-90 minutes.

It is a process by which the whole body or any specific part is made to perspire by the application of certain medical puddings externally tied up in a muslin bag for 60-90 minutes.

Special medicated water is allowed to hold in mouth for 10-30 minutes. Herbal powders or parts of medical plants are given for brushing the teeth and gums. It is a very effective treatment for weak gums and bad odour of mouth.
