Save to your city map The Rathausmarkt is the Hamburg's Main Square, and takes its name from the fact it lies in front of the Rathaus (or City Hall). The important square features some monuments, historic buildings, and is surrounded by the Kleiner Alster. It is undeniably the beating heart of the city, and a good point from which to start exploring.
