At ten times the size of the Florida Everglades, the Pantanal is the world's largest freshwater wetland and seasonally attracts dense populations of animals, including 650 bird species. The Conservancy helps local institutions improve management of Pantanal National Park, and has worked with partners to create three private preserves totaling 148,000 acres.
