The room was big and the balcony was amazing, facing the sea. The whole "park" was so green and well maintained. the pool was never too crowded and really pretty. staff was helpful and nice. Everything was clean and the breakfast offered a lot of different choices. The beach was right when you crossed the park and it was calm and clean. On arrival we were very warmly greeted by the most friendliest and helpful person I have ever met, Chetram, a great asset to the Lalit, along with all the rest of the staff always smiling and an nothing is too much trouble, the Hôtel is in my opinion the best in Goa and I've stayed in several 5 star hotels in Goa and always keep returning to the Lalit because of the location, staff and cleanliness. We were very generous scoring this hotel as it is a splendid hotel and the only first class accommodation for many miles. We loved the area and would come back, but not necessarily to this hotel. We stayed here for a week over New Year and what an experience the New Years Eve Gala dinner on the beach was! Manadatory payment of INR12,000 a head whether you go or not....so we did of course....even though our family were celebrating nearby....we did manage to get to them for midnight and watched the magnificent hotel fireworks from a distance...what a do! On-duty Manager was extremely helpful - if you want action go straight to them!
