Today was meant to be a relaxing day. Just about 70 km to Gothenburg. So I slept long, spent much time for breakfast and started not before 10 o’clock. Unfortunately I did a mistake right in the beginning and missed the bridge over the Göta channel in Lilla Edet. I followed ”Sverigeleden” and recognized soon that this track just goes criss-cross to many ”attractions” but not to where I intended to go. So I ended up on -of course- the E45 again. After a few km a parallel road with a cycle track began and I followed it for about 10 km. Then both the road and the cycle track ended in a construction area. The fence was no real barrier and I pushed the bike through the gravel. The track became narrowernand narrower and finalmy turned into a trecking path which went over cliffs, through creeks and dense forest. Maybe fun to walk at but definetely no fun to push and carry a 35 kg bike on. TTurning back was no good solution because I was already deep in the forest and there was no real alternative anyhow. So I continued until a gravel road began which took me back to the …… E45 of course. F,,,!!! OK I could not change it so I enjoyed it. After some more returns from dead-end roads I found the pier of the ferry to Denmark and bought a ticket. The vandrarhem for the night was just on the opposite side of the road. This time I could not get a single room so I need to share a room with some other people. But this is one of the objecticea of this trip: gather new experience.
