Recently, the Nova Scotia Government has purchased the land around this trail and is currently developing a park plan and adding more trails. The current trail, known as the Cape Split Trail, starts from the parking lot and follows an old woods road inland. This first section of the trail takes you uphill and then follows along the top of the ridge through the trees.
