We begin by exploring the black, hidden world of the lava field under Þingvellir National Park. Better known as the Gjábakkahellir Cave, it is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube. Not to mention, it is situated in one of the most active volcano areas in the world. Altogether we’ll discover the marvels that volcanic activity has created. Once we’re content with our findings below the earth, we’ll enjoy a packed lunch before moving onto the blue depths of this adventure.
Next we’ll snorkel the blue Silfra Fissure, one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets. It is an otherworldly scene that is famous for its heavenly shades of blue. The crystal-clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float along the lazy current.
The Black & Blue is an amazing trip and a true journey that fluctuates between the borders of reality and dreams.
