All applications for inclusion in the backspace arts venue program are evaluated by a selection committee. Based on the written application and support material the committee will take into account the quality of artwork, application/proposal and the degree to which the proposal meets the aims and guidelines of the backspace arts venue as outlined below.Backspace arts venue provides artists and curators the opportunity to exhibit or perform in a professionally supported and well-promoted program. The venue aims to actively engage the arts sector, interest groups and general public through the provision of excellent, innovative and socially relevant programs which not only profile local artists, but also showcase high quality contemporary art.
