A Recent Review on Tripadvisor" by Kristen K November 2015 ..."The museum is a small set up next to the shop and provides good information on opals. Not your typical large scale museum as this was set up by the owners of a jeweller. There was a good collection of books on opals and stories of opal mining, and we were shown 2 DVDs in a cosy room as well. The collection of loose stones, boulder opals and opal art is simply beautiful! The shop is connected to it, but as many have pointed out, there really is no pressure to make any purchase. I was there with my boyfriend with the intention to buy a small white opal as they are really difficult to find back home. The owner is very nice and showed us the available pieces which were within my budget. There is a good range to choose from, from doublets to small light opal solids, to gorgeous black opals. After i narrowed it down to 3, he gave some good advice, that i should also wear and see how it looks on me, as all opals are different, and also looked different from different angles. Owner is very sincere and helpful, and not pushy at all. Am extremely pleased with the purchase and service! Location wise, it was easy getting there based on the instructions on the website. A short bus ride away from the CBD. Would definitely recommend it to people who are seriously looking for opal jewelry!"
